El Chepe, the train that crosses the Sierra Tarahumara, leaves from Los Mochis and reaches Chihuahua. For many travellers, Topolobampo is the sea pause before or after the mountains.
Los Mochis station is about 25 minutes from Casa Aduana. We organise the transfer, store luggage and prepare a packed lunch for the train.
If your time is short, the day route to El Fuerte gives you a taste of the landscape and culture. If you have three or four days, it is worth sleeping in Creel or Divisadero and descending slowly.
Book tickets in advance, especially in high season and long weekends. The train has different classes and schedules; we help you choose the one that best fits your route.
